One of the best vintages of this decade. Vegetative cycle of 188 days. Dominant westerly winds. Not excessive rainfall, very well distributed, having fallen 100 l/m2 in summer, which was very advantageous.
Appearance: Clean, bright, medium-low deep, brick red turning into orange glints.
Nose: Deep, remarkable spicy hints, elegant cedar hints due to the bottle ageing.
Tasting: Mature, fine and silky.
Aftertaste: Remarkable spicy hints.
Finish: Long and elegant, notes of dry fruits.
It matches with any kind of meat and mushrooms rice. Some tasty or oily fish such as tuna or cod. Medium-aged cheese such as emmental or gruyere.
