This was a short harvest, 71 million liters of wine. The 207-day cycle had a strong incidence of southern winds, ending in a hot and humid September. Typical mild autumn weather.
Appearance: Clean, shiny, medium layer, ruby color with brick evolution.
Nose: Intense, very complex, notes of long aging (cabinetmaking), spicy (cinnamon), wood perfectly integrated with the stewed fruit.
Tasting: Mature, fine and silky.
Aftertaste: Remarkable spicy hints.
Finish: Long and elegant, notes of dry fruits.
It matches with any kind of meat and mushrooms rice. Some tasty or oily fish such as tuna or cod. Medium-aged cheese such as emmental or gruyere.
