Vegetative cycle of 190 days, short. The total production was 104 million liters of wine. Heavy frosts occurred in spring, after a cold winter. In some areas it froze in April, although it was punctual. The grapes arrived healthy at the fermentation stage.
Appearance: Clean, bright, medium-low deep, brick red turning into orange glints.
Nose: Deep, elegant cedar hints due to the bottle ageing. Mature and complex, long aging notes, spicy hint.
Tasting: Mature, fine and silky.
Aftertaste: Smooth, elegant, nice tannin, balanced on the palate.
Finish: Long ending with nice wood hints due to its long aging.
It matches with any kind of meat and mushrooms rice. Some tasty or oily fish such as tuna or cod. Medium-aged cheese such as emmental or gruyere.
85% Tempranillo; 15% Graciano, Mazuelo, Viura.
