Very short vegetative cycle of only 170 days. Preceding winter very cold and with rainfall of 130 l/m2. Heavy rains in early spring. No incidence of frost. Warm, dry summer. The total production was 130 million liters of wine.
Appearance: Clean, bright, medium deep, ruby-brick red developing to orange.
Nose: Complex, medium deep, stewed fruit and clove spicy notes, nice cedar background.
Tasting: Smooth on the palate and balanced.
Aftertaste: Long and complex.
Finish: Long and smooth spicy hint.
It matches with any kind of meat and mushrooms rice. Some tasty or oily fish such as tuna or cod. Medium-aged cheese such as emmental or gruyere.
